Dear New Volunteer Member,
It is with great pleasure that we warmly welcome you to the Asian American Humane Society (AAHS). We are a national independent teen volunteer agency that collaborates with Covenant House California and Covenant House New York. We support the mission of Covenant House. Since 2011, we have been fundraising and advocating on behalf of homeless and at risk teenagers. Power to Change is the name of the Human Rights Project by the Covenant House Volunteer Organization in collaboration with Covenant House California (CHC) and Covenant House New York. Through volunteer events, including fundraising, awareness campaigns, and direct communication with local legislature, this project is dedicated to be the change catalyst for teenagers trapped in poverty and human-trafficking. We hope to bring positive impact to our global society and global force to stand against the abuse of teen human rights.
Moreover, as seen in our events, our another big mission is to attend college fare every year for assisting college application for low income families and support with free education resource for middle and high school parents and student.
We have explained in great detail of our events on our website and we ask that you review and familiarize yourself with the events in advance. Our many strengths as an organization include, but are not limited to, our presence as a national teen volunteer association and awarding Presidential Volunteer Service Awards and Congressional Awards for qualified students. Being a volunteer member of AAHS is not only beneficial for community, and your college admissions, but also for the teen’s entire life, beyond the college.
We send out monthly e-newsletters in which we explain in detail the schedule of events, and will communicate with you through the email you have provided.
Once again, we warmly welcome you and look forward to working together in the future. Let's make a difference together!
Very Truly Yours,
Asian American Humane Society (AAHS)
